FAQ
-
What if I can't make it to a lesson?
You have a few options. You can attend online via Zoom, you can trade lesson times with another student, you can send a video for us to review, or you can miss your lesson (our least favorite option and you will still be charged).
-
Are lessons only held in-person?
We are set up to do lessons remote/online as well
-
What days and times are lessons available?
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00-6:00 and Thursdays 2:00-5:30
-
What age can my youngest start learning piano or guitar?
A few thoughts here. Prior to 2nd grade, parents need to be available to help practice piano. This article helps with that decision: https://www.hoffmanacademy.com/blog/best-age-to-begin-piano-lessons/
-
What additional costs can I expect?
Expect to pay some startup costs and ongoing supplemental material (no cleats or shin guards needed). Startup book costs will be about $35-$40.
-
Where are in-person lessons given?
We are located in the Southeast corner of Sioux Falls, SD.
-
Why should I prepare for online learning?
We love teaching in person, however:
Sometimes the roads aren’t save to travel. Sometimes a parent has a schedule conflict, or sometimes you (or us!) aren’t feeling well. We’d still love to meet!
-
Do you teach adults?
Yes! We enjoy our adult students and they often find that they have the time to dedicate to a new skill or bring back an old skill. As one student has stated, “It keeps my brain from going to mush!”
-
How much do lessons cost?
Tuition is $130 per payment for weekly 30 minute lessons, due the first of each month.
We like to think of it as an investment in not only a musical skill, but practice with discipline and the opportunity to add another encouraging adult in their life.
